About Jaguar van Paemel

Jaguar van Paemel

“Jaguar has phenomenal technique and a beautiful style with scope to spare. He has a big stride, and moves across the ground with a dignified grace.”

Jaguar van Paemel is a 2009 Belgian Warmblood stallion, bred by top Brussels breeders, Luc Van Eeckhoudt and Karin Verdeyen of Stoeterij Van Paemel. They kept him for his first decade, during which time he was approved first at BWP, and then by Zangersheide ( in 2012) where the jury considered him “one of the best stallions.”

Jaguar went on to prove himself physically capable of sustaining a rigorous international showjumping career, while siring many foals for the Europeans who watched him go.

In March of 2019, Jaguar came to America.

Jaguar’s sire, Cicero Z, was also bred by Stoeterij Paemel. His dam, Sissi, is by Sandro.

Most of Jaguar van Paemel’s competition career in Europe was under Dirk Demeersman, who competed him in over 100 FEI classes up to 1m50 (Grand Prix). Jaguar then went to Aldrick Cheronnet of France, who competed him up to 1.60 (Six-Bar Competition) before he was sold and exported to America.

You can see many of Jaguar’s foals on this website; several are entering the show ring now, and his son Jewel ASK Z is an approved stallion in Denmark. Jaguar had about seventy-five offspring in Europe before coming to America; his first North American-born foals arrived in 2020.

Jaguar is WFFS negative.

He loves being out in the California sunshine every day and exhibits his kind disposition by being able to live in a family setting with dogs, children, and nearby mares that he is happy to look upon. He is kept easily, without any electric wires on his fence or bars on his stall windows & doors. In short, Jaguar’s a sweet and joyous personality. Our entire family has come to love this horse and we cherish each and every offspring that he has !
